This hotel was opened in 2002 and was certified as being of a High Quality Level by the Spanish Tourism Institute in 2004. This certificate was renewed in 2007 and the hotel facilities renovated, the finished hotel project is the Suites del Mar; which include 45 Junior Suites and 2 Presidential Suites in addition to 113 standard rooms and 19 Junior Suites. The hotel is composed of 2 different accommodation types sharing the following services: a cafeteria, panoramic terrace with spectacular views over the sea, free Internet access for all rooms, wifi in the hall. There is a cafeteria and terrace, a business centre, with free Internet access and Play Station area. Children can also enter the Ludic Park for free. Other facilities include a reception desk, foreign currency exchange facilities, free morning coffee, room service (local charge) and a laundry service (local charge). Guests can relax in the à la carte restaurant which enjoys spectacular sea views. There is public parking with direct access to the hotel (local charge). Guests can enjoy the Spa Wellness Centre, one of the better spas in the Costa Blanca area; 1700 m² in size and offering the best in health and beauty services (local charge). In addition, there is a Convention and Events Centre, 800 m² in size and divided into 9 conference and event rooms (adjustable according the number of people) with a capacity from 12 to 400 people, natural light, sea views and special equipment for big events.

Hotel location description

The hotel is ideally located between the Postiguet beach and the marina, next to the leisure area of Marina de Levante, the new promenada and newly opened casino. Also near to the maritime station, from where boats depart for Tabarca Island. It is also around 200 m from Alicante's tourist and shopping centre. In a few metres guests will find the tram station with a connection to several towns in the Costa Blanca area and theme parks, such as Terra Mítica, Terra Natura and Aqualandia. The distance to the nearest airport is 12 km.

Room description

The Spa Porta Maris Rooms comprises 113 standard rooms and 19 junior suites, all with terraces with beautiful marina views and equipped with air conditioning and heating, LCD TV, digital satellite TV, minibar (for an extra charge), safe, pillows à la carte, ADSL connection and bathroom.

Sport activities description

The hotel offers a Spa Wellness Centre, an urban spa (consult tariffs to see what is included) composed of an outdoor area with outdoor swimming pool (covered in winter), solarium terrace with sea views, footbath, and an indoor hydrotherapy circuit with a thermal bath, Turkish bath, sauna, ice room and hydro-massage bath. In addition, the spa has a beauty centre, massage rooms, cardio-fitness room and unisex hairdresser (all subject to a local charge and with a special discount for guests). The hotel's guests have exclusive use of the Sanarium circuit. This circuit is composed of a mini-gym, wet and dry sauna with aromatherapy and relaxing music, ice fountain, showers and outdoor swimming pool (only in summer) with panoramic views over the sea. Bathrobes or towel are included. Guests must bring their own swimsuit and flip-flops. The nearest golf course is only 5 km away.

Meal service description
