The building reflects the historical link between the Roman and Muslim cultures, and the hotel is the most prestigious in the region thanks to its monumental significance (it was also General Reding's headquarters at the beginning of and during the Battle of Bailén), but also due to its services. This hotel is located in Mengibar town centre, close to the Arab Tower and the town hall and only 10 minutes from the capital of the province, Jaen, and the same distance from the second biggest town in the province, Linares. It enjoys a privileged location on the A44. Guests will find the Ruta de los Castillos just 2 km away and the Castillo de Santa Catalina and the Baños Árabes de Jaen (both 2.5 km), as well as the Catedral de Jaen (2.7 km), are nearby.
